Bass Lake
Bass Lake is a flooded dolomite quarry. Most of the inland divers learn to dive at Bass Lake because of its suitability for training from Openwater to Advanced Openwater and many specialties. The bottom of the quarry is littered with an assortment of wrecks to add considerable interest in the hole. The diver platforms varies from 6 meters to 40 meters. We do regular day and weekend trips to Bass Lake. Camping is permitted or one can stay in a luxury, fully catered dive camp

Marico Oog
This site is less than 3 hours from Johannesburg and Pretoria, about half an hour from the town Groot Marico. It is a natural pool, ringed by waterlillies and fed by a freshwater spring. Access to the pool is via wooden deck into water two meter deep with a bottom of thick lettuce like plants. Good buoyancy is a must to prevent stirring up the muck and messing up the normally excellent visibility. The center of the pool is about 14 meters deep and there is little of interest in the pool. An excellent place to practice snorkeling skills. Trips to Marico Oog can be arranged, advance booking is required.
